Lunaslave

The moon is blank, and it is time I thank

Serene, calm, life is a beautiful psalm

A quarter way, it'll be full one day

I knew this peace would never stay

Half and half, its face seems to laugh

It laughs at me, ready to consume me

A quarter left, my cry lands on ears deaf

Will someone come, my heart so stung

Will someone save me from myself?

Her face is complete, it's time to eat

As I watch them cry, as I watch them die

On deaf ears do their cries ring

For all I can hear, all I can think

Is what will the dinner bell bring?
