A poem form of a story where a girl is on a date with a guy. When it over and she's about to walk home, she sees another guy. He loves her and she secretly loves him. The guy she was out with doesn't love her. Only her looks.
His arm drops from my waist
His lips are warm, yet cold
It’s then I see your face
Your eyes take mine in hold
He whispers in my ear
I know that I can’t leave
He gets in his small car
It feels like I can’t breathe
He speeds away from here.
You take a step towards me
And I take a step back.
You just can’t let me be.
You say that he’s all wrong
He’s just playing his game
You are just lying
The things you say are lame
You stand in front of me
I try to pull away
“Please, will you just listen?!”
You scream to get your way.
“Why should I? He loves me!”
“Please, I’m telling you, he
is lying through his teeth!”
“You don’t care about me!”
It starts to drizzle light
Then turns to pouring rain.
He leans in towards my ear
“You cause me so much pain”
He whispers in my ear
“I care so much for you.
I truly do love you.
When I say it, it’s true."
My eyes widen in shock
I don’t know what to do.
I feel I must confess.
“I love you so much too.”
My eyes start to water.
And soon I start to cry.
He holds me lovingly
Not like the other guy.
He takes my face in his hands
His touch so very light.
He leans in to kiss me
His kiss filled with delight.
