Lonely Girl

On a sunny day

Sat a girl at stare

She was not beautiful

Even her hair was kind of dull

But there was something in her eyes

That stops men on track

Men her age

Older and younger, too

She had tears

Trailing down her eyes

She was screaming in silence

With a voice no one could hear

Anyone who could see

Would look at her, and say,

“Hey girl, are you feeling lonely, ay?”

But then again,

All people are blind

Of loneliness

And sadness

Coming from a little girl’s eyes
