(Carolyn and the group returns to their hotel, and once again, Carolyn

sees Julio, and once again, he throws her a loaf of bread. this becomes

a nightly ritual that both can look forward to. the next day the class

has the day off. Carolyn decides to go to a local riding stables that

offered trail rides through the town.)

I reached the stables, and was surprised at what I saw. I wasn't

expecting much, and there wasn't much, but the quality was higher than

I’d thought.

A friendly woman greeted me upon arrival, and lead me to the barn to introduce me to all the horses. I decided on a dark bay gelding that reminded me of my childhood lesson horse. His name was Hugo, and he was an experienced horse that I could trust to take care of me while I

enjoyed the scenery of the city.

I headed out with a group of 4 and took up the back of the pack. We went all through the city, and past some of the sites my class had

already visited. The town had wonderful charm, and it was magical to

see it all on horseback.
