The Things I Miss Already,
I miss ordering chinese with you
sweet n' sour sauce on the side
I miss watching movies with you
and you always being so kind
I miss your loving voice
saying "good evening" on the phone
The way you always expressed yourself
in carefully written poems
I miss talking with you on the swing
and our picnics on the lake
you overfeeding us at every turn
with those cookies that you'd make
I miss your hugs and your prayers
and all the lessons that you've given
I miss all the ones to come
if you had still been living
I miss you so much already Grandma
and its only been a week
But I know you're looking down at us
from heaven's highest peak.
