envy
with yellow eyes
tainted with greed
creeps up my legs
wrapping around like ivy
and binding me like rope
(Devil’s Snare)
I watch it grow
curious with innocence
and contemplate its speed
too late young one
your naivety has been seized
relinquished of life
(Avada Kedavra)
we are one
this lamentation and I
we are one
pugnacity is rejected
and feuds are eternally won
I listen to this jurisdiction
my compassion slips slowly
so carelessly
through my fingers
(“There is only no good and evil,
there is only power,
and those too weak to seek it…”)

What have I become?
