Glass Heart

By A Dark Ray of Hope

This poem is dedicated to my cousin, the one with the glass heart ü

------------------------------------------------------------------

I walked along a rainbow

Filled with memories of the past

How I once was happy in your arms

At peace with all I was.

But then I was no longer needed

The secrets of that precious trade

My heart I gave was yours indeed

I thought that yours was mine to keep.

The silence contained in our forever

Held hope that we will be together

Though words held some meaning in between

Our promises will never be seen.

Love was etched so clearly in glass

Yet obscured by all that came to pass

The feelings detach when we part

The glass eventually became my heart.

A/N: Thank you once again for reading another of my poems. This was made in a short while, and I was sleepy when I wrote this, so please forgive me. Also, it might be a little awkward when you try to read it out loud. I seem to have created my own gait for reading poems. Anyway, I’d appreciate it very much if you’d tell me what you thought of my poem, and I’d love you even more if you read and reviewed my other works as well. Arigatou! Ü
