Pristine white stone
Named, engraved
Shadow is covering
The soil beneath

Black clothed figures
Whispering, praying
Tears are falling
For the fallen

Gentle wind blows
Lamenting, comforting
Spirit is lifted
Away from ground

Words paint pictures
Beautiful, apalling
Line is repeated
In Memoriam, beloved
