You came into my life,

And filled a place

I didn't know existed.

As if it was meant only for you.

You showed me wonders

Of which were only fantasies.

It was as if it was the first time

I had ever felt the warmth of the sun.

The first time I felt your rays

Caress my face so gently.

The first time I felt the warmth coarse through my body

Was when you held me in your arms.

What a wonder it was,

To see the sun though it was night.

Your light made me see things as beautiful

As they could be; you the most beautiful of them all.

Why did it have to end?

The clouds came one day

And you left without a backward glance,

Without even a word goodbye.

The light has gone with you,

And now I'm left here in the dark.

Has night always been this black?

Even the stars have abandoned me

You gave me the brightest days,

But now I have the darkest nights.

You've taken away all the light,

And all I can do is cry.
