Hail the Conquering Hero

So you come, with sword and shield

A courage no one else can wield

Ideals are etched into your mind

But how can it be a crime

For me to see life otherwise?

So look now, surprise, surprise,

Hail the conquering hero’s prize:

I will have you bound in chains

And sent to drown in crimson rains,

I will have your heart destroyed

And throw your sanity to the void.

You dare approach my mighty throne

That’s built from all your fathers’ bones

I thought you would’ve learnt by now

That no one cannot beat us drow;

Your fears, alas, refuse to rise,

So look now, surprise, surprise,

Hail the conquering hero’s prize:

I will have you torn apart

And turn your chaos into art,

I will have all that you hold dear

And make your love your greatest fear.

Now is freedom worth fighting for?

Is valour valued anymore?

There is no time for your defection

Nor a second for reflection;

Come and greet your sweet demise

So look now, surprise, surprise,

Hail the conquering hero’s prize:

Hell.
