We only pull our noose closer

When we resent another

We only lengthen the gap between us

When we refuse each other’s need

We only starve ourselves

When we won’t understand each other

We only ruin others’ understanding

When we refuse to hear God

We don’t permanently close Heaven’s doors

He gives us a chance to believe the signs around us

But when we continue to refuse to hear other’s pain
