I noticed the other day

how my eyes seemed different.

Where there was brown,

with a dot of black,

there was now

black, ensnaring the brown.

Why?

Has my mood changed?

Or is it because

I'm darkening?

I can almost no longer

see the hard, yet soft brown.

It's fading.

As am I.

Am I turning into Black?

Evil, mysterious, secluded.

But if mine eyes

turn lighter,

what then?

Where there was once

a chocolate brown,

honey and soft.

There is now a faded black,

hard and dangerous.
