Untitled (Finding our way home)

I changed into my red 'n black converse

and quickly and quietly slipped away.

I walked along the path and crossed the rivers,

and down to cross the green stone bay.

I stopped to look around,

trying to decide where to go.

know that I'm bound

to stay, but I can't, no.

I heard a noise and

turned around and saw him.

I smiled as he took my hand.

But he held an expression of grim.

I asked him what was wrong

'Your making a mistake.', he said.

'I'm not, we'll be back erelong,

It's this, or I'm as good as dead.',

I told him. His eyes darted to mine.

'You knot it's true.' I can't live there, can't live in more lies.'

'How do we get there?' He decided, looking to the moonshine.

' We shall fly like the nighttime butterflies.' .

We spread our wings and took to the sky.

We flew hand in hand and never looked back.

As we flew over the watery horizon, we whispered 'goodbye'

To our old lives. The sky turned black

As we landed near the cave

That was the entrance to the Underworld.

It was quiet as a grave

As we crossed into my world.

My mother Persephone stood near

My father Hades just inside

The entrance. I shed a tear

And my mother cried.

My father handed something to my love

And my love gently place a tiara on my head.

I stood as Princess of the Underworld and my love

Stood by me and sealed our fates with a kiss upon my forehead.
