"Pity me, pity me,
Feel what I feel!"
She's dying of distance,
The space far too real

"I wish I could jump!"
But she doesn't let go --
Her conscience and fear
Won't let her alone.

I miss you, I love you
Snatched by the wind,
The thoughts as condemning
As if she really sinned

"I'm so sorry," she whispers,
"I wish I could try
To bridge this huge chasm
Between you and I."
