This reminds me of last November when I went to work

Trying to do the best that I can

The wind was blowing leaves everywhere

Snow was starting to fall on the land

When I see a rock gone skipping across a lake

I try and remember a time when I had some fun

But working takes all my precious time

And keeps me away from everyone

Well at least it wasn’t like last December

When I was working all day long

Christmas came and passes me on by

Singing joyous songs

Don’t let the day go on and pass me by

Don’t let time get ahead of me

I’d like to try and make a living

And maybe enjoy this short ride

Riding down the highway on old 72

Driving myself to the ground

I see an old vision of where I should be

A dream I had when I was allowed

To dream….

Wake up and realize the time has came

For the young lad and ladies to come of age

Knowing that all thoughts put aside

Do as you’re told until you die

Believe me it gets worst everyday

Stress is on the way

Make it work out for the better son

Make it last forever beneath the sun

Don’t let the day go on and pass me by

Don’t let time get ahead of me

I’d like to try and make a living

And maybe enjoy this short ride

Just perhaps, maybe enjoy this short ride called life
