Staring into the vacuum of space

Alright pretty girl with the lonely face

A long time ago you know

Your life was going great

Now you’re flying solo

Oh you never turned around

To see all the frowns

From the people you called clowns

When they tried to make you laugh

With their jokes and tricks

Never understood any of it

Never knowing what it meant

Alright Mrs. Lonely but you know it will soon be all over

Alright Mrs. Lonely, you know you’ll get better when you’re sober

You never understood that isn’t good to put other people down

If you keep it up

When you need a friend the most there will be none to be found

Oh you can’t pay your way into that school

And you knew

All the riches and privileges won’t help you

So now you wonder around town for food

See another person who is just like you

So you stare deep into his eyes and you make a deal

He takes out his hand to make it sealed

But looking down, there isn't a hand to shake

Noticing his slurring words

You realize he is baked

The streets are all cold and you find a diamond ring

You rush to a shop to pawn it big

Didn’t get that far now did you babe

Princesses and their treasure chests

Looking at the aspiring people

Famous to be

You think to yourself

They’re all peasants from what I can see

Thrusting your rugged bag

You start to notice a lag

In the way you are walking

Your clothes begin to sag

Your breasts begin to get tagged

And you’re coughing while talking

Alright Mrs. Lonely but you know it will soon be all over

Alright Mrs. Lonely, you know you’ll get better when you’re sober

You never understood that isn’t good to put other people down

If you keep it up

When you need a friend the most there will be none to be found

Mounted on your pretty horses

Sounds from a children chorus

Chanting from a balcony

Chanting for all those who see

All in a dream

Alright Mrs. Lonely but you know it will soon be all over

Alright Mrs. Lonely, you know you’ll get better when you’re sober

You never understood that isn’t good to put other people down

If you keep it up

When you need a friend the most there will be none to be found
