Death by Apathy

This crack becomes deeper.
Sadness, regret, your never totally
Alone.
Drink that liquor, take those drugs,
Fuck that man, he looks just fine,
Under this haze.
Burn out.

Feel that? That breaking?
Ignore those pieces of true humility,
No time for regret, party time.
Feel that? You’re dieing,
One mistake at a time.

Look at that chasm,
You could get lost,
In that darkness.
Let it drink you up.
See their faces, laugh it off,
You just love pissing them off.
They never cared before.

See that hole? In your chest.
Nothing matters now.
That baby,
It just didn’t stand a chance.
You’re 16,
You’ve already died inside.

Would you look at that,
That girl, cold on the floor.
Dead from slit wrists,
Blood on that white tile,
Forever stained.
At 17 she’s dead already.

Hear that? Cracking, crumbling?
That’s the millions of teens,
adults, children.
The world is rotting.
We still can’t spare
Our arms.
Don’t be so selfish.

A/N: Um, Well, lately I've been feeling really... I don't know how to say it... dissapointed in the world. :( I mean, really, all these kids my age and younger and even older are just throwing their lifes away, and no even does anything to show them kindness. No one knows how to care anymore. Which is the meaning of the last line. We are all so selfish. We should help people. If someone is out doign drugs or cutting or having suicidal thoughts or all of the above and more, don't just tell them that you don't like it and that they should stop. Ask them why they are doign the things that they are. Hear their reason, and then try to help them find another way out. Nowadays it's coming down to just how good people are. Nice guys may finish last, but at least they took enough time to leave footprints where they walked. Smile at someone, give someone a hug. LITTLE THINGS COUNT DAMNIT!!

Sorry, I've needed to let that out for ages. Hope you like the poem!
