Tales From A Broken Home

Tales from a broken home
Where too many lies roam
As your care drifts away
You know of a place you can stay
A place for love, but will you learn?
A place to which you can’t return
Home was built around the heart
But there things have fallen apart

As you all begin to break
Things become too much to take
Your home falls down and shatters
You have lost all that matters
Nothing stays un- broken
You leave with horror as your token
Now this home you must leave
And never turn back, or bother to grieve
Tales from a broken home
Where the lies still roam

This is just another tale, another lie
Another claim that you deny
The pain that this home has brought
Lives down deep, and can’t be fought
What you saw
Has only made your wounds more raw
You lived through pain, and always hoped
Now you wonder how you coped
Tales from a broken home
Where you used to roam

When your family had to go away
When you wanted them to stay
All the lessons you had to learn
But had to give up something in return
Your home gave you a heart
This is a reason everything fell apart
