NETHER

How, when I burn from the cold of thy diamond heart

Can I be free of the bitter frost on my part?

How, when thy soul is tied to rock and stone

Can I not be frozen to the bone

When I feel your touch?

Where are you now, my soul?

My vision f thee blighted, black as coal.

I search in vain, to find!

And, as I seek, you, I am blind.

I want to see you.

Your voice, it fills me with pain and grief.

Where once was joy, taken by thief.

A clever shade of you, your core, I’ll bet.

And, when I strain my ear, I find myself unmet

And I yearn to hear you.

Why do you hat me in this way?

Are we for never, you to stay,

Or is there hope, can there be?

Why do you turn from me

When I live to love you?
