Just Let Go
Let go of the threads that tie you to life,
They only hold you down.
Forget the cares that come every day,
They're what make you drown.
This life you've known is no life at all,
It's only obligations;
This life was pre-made, pre-planned, and pre-packed,
A stranger's neat creation.
Acknowledge the chains, though they look like flowers,
Just see how they fence you in.
Only then can you break from their painful confines
And let your true life begin.
But when you let go, don't forget to hold on
To all that you hold dear;
For though there are chains, there are always real flowers
That you always want to have near.
