You like to play games to ease your boredom,

In high school, you used me to ease your loneliness.

It’s been two, or is it three, years since then

Now you’re home for the summer, and here we go again.

For the first time, you’re alone and very bored.

Your friends have other things they have to do.

At the moment they simply can’t make time for you.

Of course, I was always your last resort.

I’ve never understood why you couldn’t leave well enough alone.

You like to tamper with things when it was already said and done.

Its’ been dead so long now, I just don’t get it.

Are you that bored to dig up the past?

How long is this going to last this time?

A day or two, maybe even a week?

Remember what happened the last time that

You tried getting me back into your life?

It lasted two days tops and you were gone again

I’ll talk with you

Maybe even earn a thing or two

What do you want from me exactly,

Just playmate until the summer’s though?

It’s taken me all this time

To fill the gaping bleeding void you left behind.

And even now, it’s not quite closed

‘Cause like a boomerang, you always come back again

Some feelings can just never die

Goddess Almighty, how I’ve tried!

But even though you’ve got a foot in the door,

You’ll find that I’m not a sweet-hearted fool anymore.
