You sat along the fire,
So beautiful and innocent.
Your smile far more perfect,
Than even I remembered it...

And in a single moment
I gained profound acceptance,
And understanding of the world,
I knew the meaning to life all at once.

And long after the fire
Had reduced itself to embers,
We stared into each other's eyes.
Afraid to blink before the other

For fear it might be the last time,
That we'd ever see each other's light.
They say some moments can last,
For a thousand eternities:

I wish this could be one of them,
But it just wasn't meant to be.
And now I know things will be okay
Even though we'll be apart...

Let's share a single sleeping bag tonight.
Cause I just want to feel your warmth,
Until the last of the darkness disappears.
That's when we'll leave these woods,

And head our separate ways...
