Now, I probably should tell you something about this poem. Well, I wrote this for my story (just like many other poems as well...) and this is not a song or even a 'normal' poem. This is a prayer and spell, in the story this is used to open one so called 'gate'... Even though it is not actually even a gate.

Okey, this first one is finnish version, the original one. If you don't understand finnish, don't worry! I promised there are three versions in three different language here, and the last one is in english. So, if you don't want to waste your time reading these first to versions, which you don't understand, the just jump right to the last one.

Darnan portit

”Kätketty on silmiltä Darnan portti,

Kätketty on tie, joka sinne johtaa.

Kätketty on sanat, jotka avaavat portin,

Kätketty on se, miten kätketyn löytää.

Kaiken salatun avain on piilotettu sanoihin.

Ayna, Salatun Vartija!

Kuule sanat, jotka palvelijasi lausuu:

Kuule minun lausuvan kätketyt sanat

Ja anna minun nähdä Darnan portti.

Kuule minua, kuule minun sanojani,

Well, well, well... Here is a piece of poetry I'm very proud of. :) Firstly, don't bother to waste your time wondering what language this is, because you're never going to guess it. I made up this language by myself, and that is the reason for why I'm proud of this. My own made-up language... Oh, I love old Ennean...

Orane des Darna

”San saicane acora Orane des Darna,

San saicane eres, mel senna talamea.

San saicane naera, mel serec orane,

San saicane tama sicara san saicat.

San ena sureal tuan halasaca de naerat.

Naerat oras geram ulassanara sehene.

Surene, mel horeta san alac,

Sana Suacatta des Sure suacarana

Tai Suacatta suacarat, tar nen alaca mesa decora.

Tanna henat an Suacatta, cara san nen alac.

Ayna, Suacatta des Sure!

Damara naerat, mel henare sinta:

Damara nan sintane, saicahe naera

Ac eleta nane decora Orane des Darna.

Damara nan, damara nane naera,

Ac naerat sane tuan, mel serec Orane.

Nar acora sure decor eres,

Mel nal jaron.

Decara hena sel ereset ta Orane des saica.

Damara nan, Suacatta, ac serera nara Orane des Darna.

Sac Oranet sereca.”

And now... Finally we have reached what you've been waiting for all day long. Here is the english version. Not the best of these three, I actually like most the second one, then the finnish version and lastly this one, but hey! Who cares about my opinion? Make up your own, and tell it also to me, if you are kind enough... (Now I'm just trying to say 'review, pleeeeaassssse, revieeeeeeew...') Okey, forget what I'm saying and just read the damned poem...

The Gates of Darna

”Hidden from sight are the Gates of Darna,

Hidden the path, which will lead you there.

Hidden the words that open the Gates,

Hidden is how you can find what’s hidden.

The key to all secrets is lost inside words.

Those words can lead you to the unknown lands.

Those secrets, forbidden to mortals,

Are protected by the Guardians of the Secrets.

What the Guardian protects, a mortal shall never see.

Who serves the Guardian is a mortal no more.

Ayna, Guardian of the Secrets!

Hear the words, said aloud by your servant

And let me see the Gates of Darna.

Hear me now, hear you my words

And let these words be the key to open the Gates.

Let these eyes see the path that shall lead me to secrets

That are now unveiled.

To you servant show the path to the Gates of the Hidden.

Hear me now, Guardian, and let the Gates be opened to me.

And so the Gates shall be opened.”
