Heroes

三島 和希
Kazuki Mishima

Our heroes left a monolith
To hover overhead;
Its shadow offers measurement
And dictates where we tread.

I seldom think a man so great
As they were said to be;
I've no idea how they achieved
Their immortality.

If monuments you wish to build
To glorify your face,
Erect instead a looking-glass
To show each man his place.
