This is for You Emily, Chelsea, and everyone else affected by the death of this beautiful flower. I love you guys.

When a Flower Dies, the Sun She Cries.

Tell me little flower,

what ailed you so,

what faded you out,

and caused your petals,

to flutter so selfishly away from you.

Was it the rain,

too strong and too cold,

it always made you shiver so.

Was it the sun,

so hot with beauty that you felt

you might suffocate in your own skin?

Did the laughing wind

tease you, make you feel

too garishly pigmented

to face this world another day

without love’s helping hand?

Was the earth just to hard?

Too soft, to fertile even?

What happened dear flower,

you were so beautiful.

Maybe it was the other flowers in the garden,

whom scared by your fleeting feelings,

Left you to be befriended

by no one but the weeds,

who in turn only wished

to claim your life, your beauty

as their own.

Will we ever know

what happened that day?

The day that you refused

to let your roots drink in life,

turned your back on the sun,

cursing her for her brilliance,

and let yourself wilt away.

Flower, could you ever know

how hard the sun she cried,

when she heard that you were gone?

Do you even care to know how hard it is

to console the sun when she lets herself shatter?

You should, I know you loved her too.

She gave you life, put such color upon

your rosy cheeks and that smile in your eyes.

And I know that all flowers,

they have their seasons,

but it was barely summer love ,

the perfect time to bloom.

In memory of Kristina Arielle Calco

If you'd rather not hear me preach it.. leave now. But this is something thats gotta be said. I hate bullies. I know that I could be better too others myself, but damn, how cruel do you have to be to push someone into taking their own life? Its not not fair, and it really pisses me off. Yano, people say "well thats just the world for you, its the way things work." No. No its created the earth knowing it was going to fail. This whole place was born to fail. But as humans were given one chance to make something of ourselves, to live in God's likeness. Its not our place to judge and taunt one another for our petty flaws. Too push someone to the point of giving up that chance is inhumane. Its primitive and cruel, and its just plain wrong. We seem to think that if a person is beautiful. smart, and popular that their lives must be a cakewalk. That they will never have to breakdown, or need the help of someone else to carry on, but in reality they usually need us most. They hide thier termoil deep inside, letting it slowly eat at them, just for the simple fact that have this perfect image they feel they must live up too. They think well if im not this or that, im not worthy of love or a place in this world.

I didn't know Kristina personally, but my best friend did. Let me tell you, its not fun watching the strongest most amazing person ive ever known shatter into a million pieces.

Lets stop the madness, and learn to love one another, so that this dosent ever have to happen again. I know your probaly thinking " I didn't know her, its not my problem, so why should I care?" You should care because Kristina's not the only one who's been lost to "Bullycide". Because it may be someone you love and care about next time, and just bacause its the right thing to do. Its hard to realize just how fragile life is, just how hard it is to stare death in the face, until it happens. Til' your the one who's blindsighted. But Suicide isin't the answer, it dosent have to happen. You can help.
