Sixteen

Sixteen
So sweet
But not so clean

Down dirty and grimy:
Full of lies
Wilting away
'Til there's not even ash left to see

The dance floor gets smoky and humid
Your body present, your mind not
This is your deathbed
And where you bid farewell

Goodnight
Goodbye
Do not greet me
In the sky

You've lost your hopes
Your dreams
Your wishing star
In your elope

Sixteen
And there's nothing left
To be seen

Sixteen
A sweet turned sour
A cover for something not to be seen
This is your bidding hour
