Dreams and Hopes

”I still remember, how I was laughing

When I listened the winds o’er the land

I remember it, how I used to sing

And I remember the song I sang

But now it all is gone forever

Gone everything I used to wish for

All my dreams, all hopes – forever

They’re gone – so I sing no more

I remember them still, but now I know

I cannot bring them back from mem’ry

Still I wish, I dream, I suffer so

For someday the sky I want to see

I always have hoped my dreams could fly

And then they would lift me up, too

For in my sleep I see they fly high

Towards the stars and to the bright moon

But to die my dream it is destined

Now it dying is just like am I

My hopes and everything’s weakened

I know now, it all was just lie

That’s the reason for why I am praying

That dragons again they would fly

That the gates to my dreams they would open

And after that I would finally sigh

In sleep my sight at last is clear

And all I can think it is true

On my pathway all songbirds I do hear

So I sleep, I sleep this day on.”
