Volume was added to my hair
Hair removed from my legs
Lips from chapped to smooth
Nails coated in shiny paint
Lotion softened my hands
And a boy my heart…
But let's not talk of that one now
My eye brows were shaped
My skin erased of acne
My skin coated in tan
My eyelashes curled
My roots came back in and natural colors shined through
And now I'm told I am beautiful
But inside, the process is still happening
God's make-over isn't complete yet
And neither is my life
Or his plans.
Beauty on the outside
Doesn't mean on the inside
But for now I'll enjoy playing those mind games
Making one think that I am wonderful
Hot
Cute
Happy
When inside I am crying
Because although misery loves its company
Company doesn't like misery.
