I am ash
Living another day
The days go on and nothing to do
But to lay on the ground
Fertilizing new life

I am decaying
Living another day
Lying here under the cold earth
A step towards ash
Hoping to be found

I am dead

The last thought of movement
A step towards decay
Lying still as it burns

I am dying
Living another day
Thinking if it’ll end like this
A step towards death
In a trance as it gravitates towards the end

I am well

Seeing life just pass by
A step towards dying
Slowly, agonizingly, and bitterly
