“Kitsun, oh Kiiiiiiitsuuuuuun!”

Kitsun Oauichu turned around just in time to see Ranma slam into him. They both went down.

“Ranma, what the hell are you doing?” Kitsun fumed, trying hastily to gather up all his school books.

Ranma Himura sat up, blushing. “Uhm….just trying to catch up to you….not that I needed to or anything, just to walk with you…..not like that though….”

Kitsun sighed. “Well, I have to go now. See you in class.” And with that he rushed off towards school.

Now it was Ranma’s turn to sigh. How come she could never keep her mouth shut for long enough to actually have a normal conversation with Kitsun? Or even start one?

Just then her best friend Suki Japichu ran up behind her. “Hey, Ranma, how come you started running like that? What happened?”

“Nothing.” Ranma said. And she meant it.

Tha pair continued walking. “It was Kitsun, wasn’t it?” Suki said as they arrived at Cherry Tree Academy. Ranma lookd down to the ground.

“Yes.”

“Ranma, did you ramble on again when you were around him?”

Ranma shifted the satchel on her back. “Yes.”

“Ohhh…….Ranma, did it end badly?”

“….Yes.”

Sukis gave her friend a hug. “He’ll come to his senses some time!” She assured her.

Ranma looked up by the school doors. “And for now, I’ll play matchmaker for you Satoshi!” Satoshi Yenten was a decent-looking guy in Ranma’s homeroom who Suki had been eyeing for quite some time.

Suki turned bright red, but said nothing.

“OK, he’s right there. By the Gargoyle statue. Go and talk to him!”

“No! He’s with his friends! What if I embarrass him?”

“Suki, I doubt you would embarrass any guy. You’re very pretty.”

Suki frowned. She didn’t believe Ranma at all. Even though she did have very nice long black hair and brown eyes.

“Suki, go! Now!” Ranma nudged her closer to the steps. “You only have a few minutes.

Suki tood a deep breath and began to climb the steps. She tried not to focus on the task at hand, but it was obvious that she still was. Climbing the stairs felt like a serious workout.

By the time she had reached Satoshi, she was totally out of breath. She opened her mouth to speak. “Hi, Sato-“

Brrring! Brrrring! Brrrring!!!!

The school bell rang. Suki’s time was up.

It was the middle of Math class when Heero Kiy leaned over and tapped Satoshi’s shoulder.

“Did you ever end up talking to her?”

“You mean Suki? No. But she walked up to me to talk just before the bell rang. I was going to ask her if she wanted to walk with me, but then she was just gone.”

“Hm…..interesting.”

Heero thought long and hard. He was good friends with Ranma and Satoshi but not so with Suki and Kitsun. “I still am not sure if you two are right for eachother, but if it’s what makes you happy…..”
