“Love is a wonderful thing, it is something everyone looks for at one point in his or her life and it is something that lasts for life. Love is evasive; it finds you, you don’t find it. It makes you fall, it makes you crash, and it can burn. It can make you do stupid and idiotic things, like expressing your feelings even though that person may never talk to you again. It makes you feel high, down, excited, and sad all at the same time. It’s wild crazy, and unpredictable. It can make you feel pain and joy, the joy inside of the pain, and the pain inside of the joy.

“You can’t tame it, so don’t even try, all you can do is follow the path it sets out for you. Some people try so hard to define love, but how do you define something so beautiful, so foreign, yet so widely known. There is no right or wrong definition for love because there is no right or wrong way to love or to express love. There is no possible way to be certain of when you started to love someone, all you know is that you do. Sometimes you don’t even know why you love someone, you don’t know what exactly it is about them that you love, so why waste the time trying to find out? Maybe it's all of the little things about that person that make you love them, or maybe it’s one big thing, or maybe it’s nothing and you just love them because you do. No one ever really knows and no one is meant to know. It’s meant to be a mystery, so people need to stop trying to figure it out. The thing is, you can fall out of love but you never fall completely out of love, a part of you, no matter how small, will always love that person. That person will always have a special place in your heart. So always love with an open heart.’”

With tears in her eyes she sat back down in her seat at the back of the class and cried until she couldn’t cry anymore.

“That was very good, very good indeed. Now, who else has an inspirational essay to read?”
