History was never
as interesting
as when we took it
upon
ourselves.

“John Adams
has nothing on
me,
see?!” I proclaim
putting on a hat,
and ordering my three
men
to go deal with
France
and the darn
privateers.

X,
Y,
and Z,
all agents of
greed.
But then again,what were we?

To try and save
our ships.
We did what was best
for our budding nation.

But they asked for
more than we could
afford,
and then we entered
the
quasi-war.

In the end,
we persevered,
and then the
worst enemy
and best friend
of ole’ Adams came into
play.

What shall we
do for
Thomas Jefferson?
