Author's Note: A song for all the people who have to earn what they want, and never knowing how it'll all turn out.

These Suits Don’t Fit Me Right

Day in day out, breaking my back

for who knows what the result will be

From dawn past sunset, barely a rest.

--

Wipe sweat from my brow as it drips down

Fuck I’m tired, and I can’t see where this sweat is getting me

Can’t wait ‘till next pay, too bad I spent it yesterday.

--

Can anyone tell me where this road leads?

Can anyone tell me right now will you please?

‘Cause I’ve been working a long damn time

It’s about time I get what’s mine.

--

Just some presentable place to call my fucking own.

Just time at the bar to sling back a beer or two,

Cause I haven’t seen my friends in a long, long time,

It’s about time I get what’s mine.

--

Another day, another dead end job,

trying to make my way in a world meant for suits

that never fit me, you see, I like to earn what I keep.

--

But it’s too damn hard

and those suits have no regards

for an honest hard worker like me.

--

Can anyone tell me where this road leads?

(spent my pay yesterday)

Tell me right now will you please

(the fuckin’ IRS is after me)

I’m down on my knees

--

Isn’t it time I got mine?

Isn’t it time I got mine?

Isn’t it my time?

--

Can anyone tell me where this road leads?

Can anyone tell me right now will you please?

‘Cause I’ve been working a long damn time

It’s about time I get what’s mine.

--

Fuck the rich, fuck the poor-

none of it matters anymore.

Cause I’m down on my knees

watching these dreams bleed from me.
