Forest at Night

三島 和希
Kazuki Mishima

Your face was darker than the trees
That all around me stood;
The orb that followed in the sky
Gave not the light it should.

An owl told me of his pain
And warned me of the Dark;
The sky above was far removed,
The land beneath me stark.

You told me I would soon be there,
But I did not believe;
The distance of those frigid lights
Said, “To the forest cleave.”
