If you had the fortune of reading this, it is a memorial towards 9/11.

Just so the reader may be aware of what they are reading.

Thank You for taking the time.

Godchild

Always the Same

There’s something speaking in the wind

A stale emotion that says start again

So if you talk to this poisoned mind

Our knotted fates are denied

When acid falls from anywhere

We are bound to die in passion

Hands tightly clasped, ripping black cuts

Lifeless love is only stitched in dreams

What will become of this fearless sky?

When demons weep, and the devil is left to die

Metal is running through our ears

No trace of blood in all these tears

We all try to join this surviving crowd

But Gods poisoned tree declares us not allowed

The moment I let you hold my fractured hand

Together, our voices meshed with burning sand

We can’t make it anywhere, but into each others eyes

There is obviously a small regret, nothing said before the end

Some kiss under this arch of ash, trying to live out this lie

Blackness collapsed, our bodies smashed, in this autumn air

Do you ever wonder what they said when it all came down

Erasing enough breaths to fill up our hometown

Do you think they saw our hands held so tight?

It doesn’t help, knowing that we can’t survive

Flame bursts in torrents through our brains

Red memories flooding the charcoal ground

Enough death to make a stain

Go ahead and say it, we’re both leaving

No matter how hard we tried

God wanted us to die

But even he isn’t to blame

Because we couldn’t change it, it would always end up the same…
