It is strange

My life has opened, thanks to you

I can see the paths

The road signs are no use, speaking in tongues

The ground is pale, unblemished

Your hand reaches, clasping mine

Together, we set out, making our own path

Our footsteps leaving their marks

New life arising from our wake

Reality warps, stretches, then settles

Our world has come

I’m happy

Things are different here, in our world.

It’s perfect

Our hearts have intertwined

Here I’m at ease

Sunlight warms us, a telling of what is and will be

Together in our world

Monoliths of stone and steel arch overhead

Gilded, coated, they are our thoughts

Golden, silken, this is our world

Here we are safe

Traveling in our city of light

Silent and bathed in dusk,

Waiting for us to give it life

This is our world

We placed it here

This is our world

We built it here

This is our world

Let us help it grow
