companion to Truth

Wise

I may be young.
But that does not mean that I am not wise:
For I have seen through all
Your many selfish lies.
You said you would always love me.
But now I know that is not true.
I gave you my loving heart
And you chose to tear it apart;
With my heart I lost my life,
With my heart I lost my soul.
You have forever changed me:
Just how much you'll never know.
As pain and despair raced through what little heart I had left,
The world around me kept dimming and dimming sending me closer and closer to Death;
Then you dared to ask me back calling yourself a fool,
This and only this do I have to say to you:
There was one fool and that was I
For allowing one like you to make me cry.
There is one more reason as to why I am a fool,
And that is for wasting my time with the likes of you.
