…oo0: Prologue…

Unire is the chosen city… The city where a new age will begin...

Millennia ago, dragons ruled the skies, the waters and the earth. They were numerous with different kinds, different sizes, different powers and different rules…

But despite all their power and glory, their downfall was themselves.

A war erupted – a devastating war that almost wiped out all the dragons in the world. Greatly decreased in number, they became solitary and took the time to heal the difficult wounds.

The time of the humans came. They evolved faster as centuries passed by. Though they were smaller and had no special, world-shaking powers, they were greater in number. Their courage, bravery and greed also resulted in even fewer dragons.

But as more centuries passed, humans began looking past what they could reach. Suddenly, they were building and creating fast. Dragons and other such mythical creatures were forgotten as they sought to travel great distances in shorter times – to fly… even to go past the sky and outside into the place where they could not go before – outer space.

Their weapons became more lethal… more dangerous and more destructive. No… The dragons have lost all power over them.

And they were forgotten.

But still… Once in a while, a livestock would disappear… mountains disturbed… humans vanish…

Though they are forgotten…

…They are still there.

Adjustment… Adaptation… Integration… Assimilation…

Unire is the city of the future.

A/N: Ah… My latest story. This was coming ages ago… I’ve always wanted to write something with dragons (as I was born Year of the Dragon) and I realized the only dragon I’ve ever posted up is Karil (from Record of the War of Gaesidris)… which is weird since I like them so much…

Well, I hope the prologue is good. I admit it’s rather short but all my prologues are short anyway! Please review!
