I guess it makes perfect sense

Why we are thinking like this

After all it was only yesterday you hated me

Or so I thought

And I removed the heart from my sleeve

Stopped wasting my time

Found someone new

Out of my league

And you surprised me

Like I always hoped you would

It was that unsure action, a reaching out

I was left astonished

Bare arms, white walls

And everything got lost in between

I don’t know if you could choke down the words

As fast as I vomited them out

But just knowing they were lying in a useless puddle on the floor

Made everything feel better

I walked out

I never looked back

But I hoped to god you were watching

With my name on the tip of your tongue

We didn’t proceed with any actions

Because everything was to become all too familiar for us anyways

And for now we liked that mysterious

Undecided sideways glance

We liked tossing around the meaning of words

While they still had meaning

While everything seemed worth it.
