There are stages to everything. Stages to a friendship, stages in love, stages to make a simple sentence. We’re always following the correct stages, set out by the ones who followed them before us. There are stages to our integrity, stages to our dignity, stages to our morals, its how we decide if this is really what we are made of or did the dust of everything that was nodded upon, fall on our shoulders. Around here, around there, around everywhere everyone’s skipping the stages, getting ahead faster and here we are overwhelmed, skipping the stages. Our stages build ambition, ambition is dangerous, those who are ambitious forget about the stages, we’ve all become ambitious, and around here ambition is a charity box at a grocery store. But for once lets just focus on the stages, lets follow the rules until we’re lost, lets walk the worn down path everyone else took and when we’ve finally had enough of routine, when we finally feel ambitious, lets run away together. There are stages to everything, hello, how are you, lets be friends, I miss you, I love you. Forget urgency, stages are meant to come slow and steady, be passed with meaning, much like life you’re supposed to remember each moment, dwell on it, follow in each others footsteps and take the side roads when needed.
