A/N: Pulled some more drama outta my ass for you guys. I think this maybe one of the tops. This is just fair warning. I feel like I’m the author of one of the melodramatic soaps…Merry Christmas, y’all! As we’d say down in the South…. grimaces This is the last chapter most likely, so it’s going to be LONG. I have a LOOOOT of crap to fit in this, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. The quote in italics is Bertrand Russell’s cause he said it, I think. The Disclaimer of the song is Eve 6, who are pretty damn awesome, so you should check em out. I claim neither of those two things.

Contrary to what song is listed on the beginning, I’m actually listening to ‘Evil Angel’ by Breaking Benjamin.

Chapter 28: Think Twice, My Evil Angel

I don’t want to sleep.” I persisted.

Why not?”

Because sleep leads to dreams and dreams lead to…”

Damien.” Ceilia said.

In this part of the universe, we know that there is a great injustice, and often do the good suffer, and the wicked prosper, and one hardly knows which of those is more annoying.”-Bertrand Russell

I feel the hurt so physical
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around come around no more
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around I'll let you feel the burn
Think twice before you touch my girl
Come around no more
She spreads her love
She burns me up
I can't let go
I can't get out”

“Think Twice” by Eve 6

Never to have suffered would have never to have been blessed or so Edgar Allen Poe said. I’m suffering….so where’s my blessing? Am I just supposed to wait idly for it as my heart crumbles because my friends have died in a mass murder from man- no…. vampire’s brother? Not to forget that certain vampire holds my heart. It’s not fair!

I rubbed my puffy eyes as exhaled silently, I couldn’t cry anymore and my head was like a base drum. “Listen to this….” Jasper said as he pulled down the screen on the TV/ DVD thing in my car. I had got some sort of fancy thing that let you watch TV, it’s in the newer cars and stuff. But he turned on the news and there was a report on about what happened today already.

A buxom blond chick with annoying voice and a smile that made you want to slap her began chattering sadly. “Coming to you live from Maverick’s Academy where hearts are breaking, I’m Trisha Baker.” She began and the camera scanned around to the corpses on the ground, the massive crowd by the gates to the field, and the FBI and other authorities scattered around the field. “To what seemed to be a relatively escapade of fun to the football games turned into a stomach churning massacre. Approximately over 500 bodies have been found so far, and there’s much more to be discovered. The authorities are around, but they refuse to comment. There are a few things that we have discovered, there are five survivors that were found huddling in the field house, mumbling about some mysterious monsters and golden eyes. One of them managed to hand me a camera, saying something about a picture. Before it was taken away, I managed to look at the video. It was astonishing. Here, we’ll show you now. If you’re of young age or if there’s someone of that description with you, you may want them to leave the room for a moment.” I was partially to the point of not caring, but when they showed the sadistic side of Raizer, I was attentive.

At first, he was facing away from the camera. A civilian ran toward him, I suppose figuring that he would help them. It showed him grabbing her, yanking her head to the side and taking a huge bite into her neck as she screamed. When the screaming faded, her body hit the floor and he turned slowly, his eyes glowing and a smile plastered as his expression. “Man or beast…” The reporter came back. “We don’t particularly know, and I’m afraid that’s all we have on the story for now, but we hear more, we’ll get back to you. Back to you, Mark.” It flicked back to a balding man and then Jasper turned it off.

“He was cocky enough to let himself get on camera.” Jasper commented with a dead tone, almost sending shivers up my spine.

“He always has been.” Lilliana agreed, “You should be careful, Damien. It’s unfortunate that you and Christian have an incredible likeness.” Damien scoffed. “Don’t take that tone with me.” She warned him. I turned back to Ceilia, who was sitting in the way back with Vladimir in her lap.

“How’s he holding up?” I asked her. Her eyes were puffy with tears and she looked down at him. She shook her head at me. “He’ll be okay. We’ll fix this. I’ll be damned all over again if another person dies today because we were incompetent.” Finally after seemed for forever, Jasper pulled in through this tree-filled dirt path and stopped at what seemed to be a marina. “We’re sailing there?” I questioned Damien quietly as I rubbed my eyes tiredly. I opened the door and crawled out, almost falling because of how long my legs had been cooped up.

“Yeah.” Damien said as he dragged Vladimir out, taking him from Ceilia. She jumped out and came to stand beside me. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a tight hug. “Let’s go.” He said as he adjusted Vladimir to a position on his back. We crossed over onto a pontoon like thing and I sat down. The cool air was refreshing and I leaned back against a metal pole, sighing. Damien laid Vladimir down on the ground and Lilliana was performing basic First Aid to stop the bleeding.

“I can stop the bleeding, Ceilia.” She informed her daughter, “But we’ll have to wait until we get home to get the particles of silver out.” Lilliana eyed the wound and I could see where the sword had chipped a bit, leaving pieces in there. It looked perfect when I had seen it, but I suppose looks are deceiving.

I heard slight wheezing. I looked down at him again. “Ceil….” He whispered. She took his hand instantly and crawled to him. “Stay with me…. S-stay with me…” His eyes fluttered. Ceilia inhaled and smiled bitterly.

“Always.” She whispered to him. “Always. You just have to stay with me.” He laughed slightly and then his eyes finally closed. Her eyes widened for a moment and she put her fingers to check his pulse. The look of relief on her face told it all. She laid her head down on his chest and sighed.

I laid my head on Damien shoulder and looked at everyone currently placed on the boat. Lilliana was standing behind Jasper with her arms wrapped around his neck, placing gentle kisses on his neck. He held her hand the whole time. Michael and Samantha were placed on the other side of the boat, toward the front. She was sitting straight up facing toward a massive mansion on a small island and he was laying down, his head on her lap. I could see her smile down at him and stroke his hair as he slept. Ceilia and Vladimir were at their usual positions on the floor. The only person who wasn’t with someone….was Alex. He sat at a small table with his face in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Damien noticed this and he watched him.

I couldn’t help but get the feeling that it was somewhat my fault. “Adriana…” I heard Alex say. He looked up at me and his eyes were red, “Could you come here…just for a moment? I- I need to talk.”

I looked at him for a moment and the pleading look in his eyes tempted me, I couldn’t say no. No matter how much I wanted to stay situated in Damien’s arms. I stood up and turned to Damien, “I’ll be right back.” I told him as I placed a long kiss on his lips.

“Go ahead.” He replied and situated himself to where he could look at the water. I followed Alex into a small room with a hammock in it.

“Adriana…” Alex said lightly as he glanced out the window. “How long do you think it would take for the silver to run through my veins…” He drawled as he pulled out a silver knife and eyed it. “If I just happened to impale myself with this?”

“Alexander…” I began. “You know she wouldn’t want that.”

“And I care what she wants?” He growled at me. “She’s dead, Adriana! Fucking dead! What does it matter what she wants-no, wantED?” He looked at me pitifully. I felt my heart crunching up at the tears that were rolling down his cheeks.

“It does matter what she wants, Alex. It does.” I whispered. “It matters because….Because she was my best friend- no, my sister! It matters because she trusted us with her life…. It matters because we loved her…. It matters because she loves you. Even if she’s not with us anymore, she’ll always be in our hearts, Alex. Because you loved her. Loved her so much that’s its killing you, even in the amount of time that you knew each other…. A special kind of love grew, one that last through eternity, one that will last longer than any vampires will. A kind of love that will last even through death-!”

“What do you know?! WHAT do you know?!” He screamed at me in anguish, clutching his head and sinking to the ground. “You don’t know! You don’t know what it’s like!” Alex insisted.

“No….maybe I don’t. You weren’t the only one who lost her, Alex! I- I have know her since we were in diapers. I have known almost every living secret of hers. She was my friend too! No, my sister even! The sister that I never had, we did everything together. I hurt too! I hurt so much because I had so much to lose! With her death, Alex, I have lost a whole part of my heart. She was my family though not by blood and you prance around and tell me that I don’t KNOW? W-what…” I felt sobs wracking through my body and I slapped my hands over my mouth, “W-what gives you the right? Hm? You think you’ve lost more than I have, hurt more than I do? Maybe so, but not by much. You didn’t have to end it, Alex. Not for her. You want to know what her last words were to me? I’ll bloody tell you, She wanted me to finish it… she wanted ME to kill her. To stop her suffering… I had to kill my best friend, Alex, because she wanted it. She didn’t want to be a monster; she probably would’ve killed me if I hadn’t done it. I would have died for her, Alexander Cole. But she died for me instead; let me ask you this… Would you have done the same?”

Alex didn’t say anything, he only watched me. I fell to my knees in front of him, wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled his head to my shoulder. “Yes.” He whispered and broke down into sobs.

“We’ll make it through this, Alex. Reese would have wanted us to.” I pet his hair as a good friend would. “Come on then, get up. Let’s start making it through this.” I stood up and looked down to him, extending my hand. “Reese will know we can make it through this. We’ll kick Raizer’s ass back into the 13th century where he belongs.”

“Raizer wasn’t born in the 13th century. He’s not that old.”

“You get my point though.”

“Right.” Alex said. I gave him a cheeky grin and then turned to leave. “Adriana, wait.” He said as he grabbed my arm and spun me around. I was about to ask him what and then hurry and get back to Damien, but I felt his warm lips over mine and all I could think was ‘Oh shit.’

I put my hands on his shoulders to push him away, but he wrapped his arms around my waist. It wasn’t right. This wasn’t right and he wasn’t letting go. I heard the door open and I opened my eyes. I shrieked, but his lips muffled my voice. I heard glass shatter and the child-like hurt in the voice tore my heart like a banshee.

“Aid! I have….” Alex pulled away and I looked to Damien who had dropped the glasses of blood. “Some….blood.”

“Damien-!” I began as I rushed toward him; he cut me off with a wave of his hand.

“Why?” He asked Alexander. Alex didn’t reply.

“Damien, you don’t understand!” I exclaimed and took a hold of his arm.

“Shut UP, Adriana!” Damien hissed as he flung out of my grip. My heart was dropping lower and lower and blackening just a tad more as he stormed away from me. I followed him out past everyone and tried to stop him vainly. Just at the edge the boat, he turned to look at me. “I guess that I just loved you too much, huh?” The black wings sprouted out of his back and the tears leaked down his cheeks as well as mine.

“You don’t understand, Damien! It’s not what you thought!” I pleaded as I reached for him. He stepped away from me.

“Okay then, Adriana….” He whispered pained, “It’s finished.”

“No!” I exclaimed as he put his hand on the railing for a push off and flew away into the night. “No…Damien.” I whimpered as I crumbled to the ground in bitter love sick sobs.

“What happened?!” Lilliana was at my side in the instant with a look of concern.

“I didn’t…. I-I didn’t do anything w-wrong….” I wheezed. “W-why d-does it hurt so m-much?” I put my hand over my chest. “I’m-I’m fu-fu-fucking dead for g-goodness sake! M-my heart doesn’t even BEAT!” I shrieked. “Why does it hurt so much?” I asked Lilliana pitifully.

“What happened, Adriana? You have to tell me.” She questioned as she stroked a few of my tears away. I was getting ready to tell her, but then I saw Alex.

“Y-You!” I sobbed. “Y-You ba-ba-bastard!”

“Now you know what it’s like to be hurt so much, so you can claim the right and actually understand what you’re talking about.” Alex said.

“WOULD SOMEBODY LIKE TO CLUE ME IN HERE?!” Lilliana shrieked out of frustration.

“Fine, Mom. She killed Reese. That’s what’s up! Reese was killed by her own best friend!” Alex exclaimed. Lilliana turned to me in disbelief.

“O-oh!” I sobbed as I stood up and strode toward him angrily. “She was under Raizer’s c-control, A-Alex! She was trying to kill me! What would you have wanted me to do?!” I asked him. “You think I wanted to kill my best friend?!” I asked him again, my voice gaining more control. “Right, I’m such a horrible person! It’s likely of me, isn’t it?! Alex, you bloody monster, I gave it all up for him! I gave my best friend, I gave my brother, and I gave my family, I GAVE HIM MY WHOLE LIFE! You just had to ruin that, didn’t you?!” I shoved him. “DIDN’T YOU!” I cried. I walked away… “Well, you got want you wanted, Alex. I’m hurting. I hurt so much I can’t even think correctly…”

“Adriana-!” Alex said.

“No.” I coldly commented. “No more. I’ve heard enough…Ceilia. I have a question for you.”

“Shoot.” She answered quietly. I saw the Blackmore Estate coming so close, only about another ten minutes. Hmm, how far would I have sunk by then?

“Judging by the fact that I’m a vampire now and I can’t die from suffocation, how long do you think I could stand getting some brooding in if I sank to the bottom of this lake? Maybe do a little swimming down near the bottom? I’m sure that’d be a pleasant little quandary for Damien’s record. His latest girlfriend, doing a little floating down at the bottom of the lake because she couldn’t take it anymore. Really dramatic. Sure hope they’re a few stakes down there for me.”

“Adriana, you’re over-reacting! It’s a misunderstanding!” Jasper said. “My son is an understanding boy. If we talk to him, we can get through this. Alexander, I’m going to have to talk with you about this. You can’t just gallivant through and ruin someone’s lives and relationships just because you’re hurt.”

“I’m not-!” Alex said.

“Shut up!” I hissed at him. Jasper sent me a pointed look. “Sorry.”

“Thank you.” Jasper said. “Now, we’ll find Damien tomorrow. For now, we’ll go back to the estate. You can stay in his room, Aid. Michael and Sam can take the guest room and then everyone can spread out wherever. Tomorrow, we’ll find him and the both of you can duke it out. If he beats the shit out of you, Alexander Cole Blackmore, then no way in hell am I going to stop him. You should know better.”

“Jasper!” Alex exclaimed.

“Nothing!” Jasper said. “We’re all hurt, tired, cranky, and overdue a good cry. So either we all go to our separate rooms and get some sleep or we’re going to have a group hug.” Everybody flinched and noises of complaint echoed. “Good. Ceilia, you should sleep. Lil and I will take care of Vlad. I promise we won’t do anything to hurt him.”

“But!” She persisted.

“Go.” He steely glared her. She pouted and then complied.

I just wanted to sleep. I couldn’t take this anymore. I felt the sobs coming again and I felt like a bit of an idiot, but I let it out and then took off running toward Damien’s room in tears. The last thing I heard was Jasper’s exasperated sigh.

“Adriana!” Lilliana shouted.

“Let her go, Lil.” Jasper said. “We’ve got to work on Vladimir.”

“I’ll go see if she needs anything.” Ceilia offered. “We have much to talk about anyway. And you.” She looked to her brother. “You just…. You just need to go away somewhere and think about what you’ve done, you douche face.”

“Douche face? Is EVERYONE taking her side now?” Alex called out incredulously.

“You’re being an asshole today.” Lilliana pointed out. “I know you’re hurt, sweetie. She offered to help you out. It’s not any reason to ruin it like that. You know how bad he was after Selene. I couldn’t bear to see him if he hurt Adriana and himself like that.”

“Mom-!” Alex exclaimed.

“Nothing, Alexander Cole! Maybe you can redeem yourself if you go talk to your brother, set up a meeting between them tomorrow or something. Because they are definitely not going to fix this themselves. They’ve hurt each other too much and they’re too damn stubborn. We just have to shove them in the right direction and this will be okay.” Lilly replied.

I heard Alexander’s cry of distress and the door slamming shut. After I slammed Damien’s door, I threw myself on the bed and crawled under the blankets. I heard the door creak open again. I didn’t even bother to peek and see who it was; I blankly stared into the darkness.

“Hey.” Ceilia said quietly. “How you holding up?”

I replied with a low pitched whine. “I guess that’s not so well. You know that he only did that because he was hurting, Adriana, right? He wanted to justify that pain because he never hurts; he’s never had the reason too. And after Reese… he just…”

“You don’t have to justify what he did, Ceilia. I can’t seem to care about it anymore.” I sourly replied.

“You’re hurting too.” She said as if it were a matter of fact.

“Just a little.” I weakly denied.

“We’ll fix it, Adriana. Just give it a little time.”

“Time…There’s only too much time now. Just what to do with it?” I answered morosely.

“You’ll spend it with Damien, that’s what you’ll do.” Ceilia insisted to me. “Despite you thinking that Alexander is an evil bastard, he does have a conscience. He can’t last out too long; he’ll even talk to Damien and try to fix this. You’ll see.”

“I see that you’re trying to make me feel better, Ceilia. But I don’t know…this was the last straw for him, I think. How many times are we going to take, stomping on each other’s heart like that?” I insisted, looking up at her now.

“That’s the thing though. You both love each other too much to be without. You’ve eternity now and you’ll duke it out like that. It’s not like you have a choice. Can you imagine yourself now? After everything that’s happened…without any of us? Take a moment.” I did. What I imagined was horribly desolate. No Damien, No Reese, No Adrian, No Alex, No Ceilia, No Lilliana, No one. I think I would probably kill myself in that loneliness.

“I can’t.” I whimpered.

“So you imagined it.” Ceilia observed. “If you keep thinking that it’s not going to get better, then it’s probably not. But you’ve got to have a little faith in my lil’ bro. He may be a bit of a douche monger a lot. He’s not dumb when it comes to love them. Okay, so maybe he’s a bit obtuse when it comes to you. It’s probably because he’s afraid of getting hurt again. That’s beside the point though. I want you to get some sleep tonight, to think about think, and we’ll figure it out tomorrow.”

“What about you, Ceilia?” I blurted out of nowhere. “Do you hurt?”

She paused and took a deep breath. “More than you know.” Ceilia dropped beside me and looked at me, taking off her shoes. “I’m bunking in here. I don’t think I could stand staying in my room. It’s too close to where he is. We should sleep.”

“I don’t want to sleep.” I persisted.

“Why not?”

“Because sleep leads to dreams and dreams lead to…”

“Damien.” Ceilia said.

I nodded, as cowardly as it may sound. Ceilia smiled at me weakly. “Don’t worry, sweetie. I think we’re both in the same both. Whoever wakes up crying or screaming first gets the prize.”

“Jeez, what a morbid outlook. I really want to sleep now.” I scathingly replied to her. She grinned.

“It’s how it’s played.” Ceilia replied and then snuggled into her brother’s blankets. “Best get a head start, it’s never any fun. You’ll fall asleep eventually.” Mostly, we really didn’t. I think we about fell asleep at 3 and that didn’t stop the dreams from coming. I dreamed about Damien, and about today, waking up in tears every time. But Ceilia was in no better shape. We’d tell each other about our dreams unless something was way too personal for the other to share.

At some point, I was finally able to close my eyes and sleep for a couple of hours.

In the morning, we were greeted with the shades opened. I groaned and opened my eyes to see Lilliana above us. “He wants to see you now, Ceilia.” Ceilia jumped up like a rocket and sprinted off. “I didn’t even tell her where he was.” She sighed, “Oh well. She’ll find him.” Lilliana then looked down at me. “How you feeling?”

I groaned and rubbed my eyes. “I would have felt better dead- No, wait a minute, I am dead. So altogether, I feel pretty damn shitty.”

“Just like Ceilia said, it’ll get better. He’ll listen. We just have to make him. So, would you like to have a cup of blood and then perhaps take a long bubble bath in Damien’s bathroom?” She queried. I don’t suppose she knew how heavenly that sounded.

“That sounds majestic. I smell now and I’m hungry.” I informed. I pulled myself up and then got a head rush. “Burgh.” I moaned as the world spun for a moment. “Let’s go.” She led me down the stairs and into the kitchen. I sat down in a chair and put my head in my hands. “I feel like I’m supporting a massive hangover.”

“It’s probably from where you’ve cried so much. My head hurt when I used to do that.” Lilliana informed. She set a cup in the microwave and heated it. After that, she pulled it out and handed it to me. “You just have to wait it out. If you start to feel nauseous then we’ve got a problem.” She set the glass in front of me. I picked it up and took a greedy gulp of it.

“How did you and Jasper meet?” I asked her as she sat down beside me with a glass of her own.

“We met back when I was stuck in Demetrius’s castle. I had escaped for one day and took a walk in a meadow. I used to sing a lot back then, so I was humming a pretty tune when I heard this voice. ‘Beautiful.’ He said. Not anything else. I had turned and saw him right behind me. I screamed and then fell to my rump. He laughed and we got into conversation after I finally deducted that he wasn’t out to violate me or anything. We started to see more of each other when I told him of my troubles and what would happen if Demetrius found out. He said that he didn’t care… he always loved trouble. When he told me his name, it was the oddest of it all. He said, ‘I’m Jasper, Lilly. My Lilly…’ He definitely had me enraptured then.” Lilliana sighed wistfully.

“There’s more?” I asked her.

“Of course, there’s a whole lot. But you have a bubble bath to attend and I’m not going to stop you, perhaps I’ll tell you later.” She waved me away. “Go relax.”

That sounded nice. I took the empty glass of blood and set it in the sink. Then I walked up the stairs to Damien’s room. To my surprise, my favorite scent of bathing supplies was already there, Blackberry Amber. I turned the water on and then closed the door. There was a fancy CD player to the side, I shed my clothes and clicked the button. Tying my hair in a sloppy bun on top of my head, I stepped into the bubble filled water contently. First off, ‘Think Twice’ by Eve 6 was playing and it fell a little too close to my situation. I used the remote and switched it to ‘Broken’ by Seether and then the waterworks came as the song began. I tried to switch it, but it wouldn’t, so I threw the remote at the wall and sobbed.

Then I remembered, this was supposed to make me feel better. Lilliana would probably come listen by the door to see if I was sobbing my eyes out like I was now. I sucked in a deep breath and began to sing along with it as well as I could as I washed my body. I looked up at the window above me and was astonished.

“Damien?!” I exclaimed. He nodded and then yanked out the window. He crawled through it and dropped before me. I squealed and pushed the bubbles over my chest. “What are you doing in here?”

“I wanted to see you.” He said.

“I thought you hated my guts.” I bitterly snarled at him and wiped my tears away.

“No.” He whispered to me. “I couldn’t. I was being stupid and I was hurt that you were hurt. I wouldn’t listen to you. Alex came and told me what happened.”

“So he tried for redemption.” I whispered.

“Yeah.” Damien said. “I’m sorry.”

“Me too- Wait! Wait! I am mad about something though. Two things actually. For one, how can I forgive you so easily? You tore me up like a rag doll.” Damien looked away shamefully. “Also, Mr. Perverted. You’re in here now. While I’m naked and you look like you want to jump me in this bathtub and I am NOT doing anything with you while I’m in this bathtub. It’s uncanny.” Damien raised his brow.

“Oh really?” Damien looked at me a moment. I held my arms over myself defensively. “Is that what you think?”

“I suddenly regret closing that door and saying that.” My eyes widened as he began to lower himself into the bathtub with me. “Damien…” I said cautiously. “Stay, pervert boy. Stay. Don’t I have a choice in this?” He came closer to me and I couldn’t take it anymore. “Ah hell, what have we got loose?”

Our lips crashed.

Ceilia’s Point of View

Mom sent me to check up on Adriana, because she had been there for a long while. I walked into Damien’s room and opened the door when some suspicious noises came out of there. “Please don’t be doing what I think you two are doing, because then I’m going to be scarred for eternity.” I muttered a little prayer to myself and opened the door. When I saw my brother back and Adriana’s hands on his shoulders, I immediately closed my eyes and turned away. I left and walked out of the room. “Okay, mom! I checked up on her.” I shouted.

“Is she okay?” My mother replied.

“Nope! I think she slit her wrists and staked her heart.” My mother shouted curses at me. “You know I take that back, well, I think she’s better than ever. She’s just getting naked with your son!” I cringed. “I’m SCARRED for the rest of eternity!” I shouted back to her.

“Don’t be ridiculous, Ceilia!” Lilliana exclaimed, exiting from the room that Vladimir and Jasper were in. “They wouldn’t.” Oh how they would.

I scoffed, “Would you like to go see? Alex went and talked to Damien, and now he’s getting all lusty with his girlfriend whose heart he practically tore up and stomped on. Now, I’d like to forget I ever went into that bathroom at that precise moment, so now….” I turned around for a moment when I heard dripping and saw my brother. He was soaking wet and shirtless, but thank god he still wore pants. “I suspect you two don’t want to be disturbed for a while.”

He made a stern face at me, “Riiiight.” The doors shut and it locked. “I can’t believe this. She’s only seventeen…forever now. He shouldn’t be doing this with her.” I looked at my mother. “My brother is a child corrupting slut.”

“No, he’s not, Ceilia. She’s going to be seventeen forever. There are technically no consequences. They can do whatever they want. It was bound to happen sometime. Just…let them get to that and come see your Vlad.”

Lilliana turned on her heel and walked back into her room. I sucked in a deep breath and couldn’t shake a feeling that I had. Something bad was going to happen again. This wasn’t just going to add to the list of horrible things that have been happening, this was going to be the whammy. Everyone was going to hurt because of it. I shrugged it off and jogged down the stairs. I swung into the room dramatically and that’s when I saw him. He sat up and looked at me. I felt incomprehensible joy bubbling from my heart my throat.

“V-Vladimir!” I exclaimed in glee.

“Ceil.” He replied, a smile forming on his face.

“You’re alive! And not so evil!” I fought the urge to jump up and down squealing. I rushed over and scrambled onto the bed. I straddled him and practically tore open his button up black shirt.

“Hey! Hey! He’s injured and not while we’re in here!” Lilliana and Jasper complained. “Jeez, after all you complained about Damien and Aid getting it on.” Mom huffed. “Let’s go for a walk, Jasper. Give everyone a while alone.”

“That sounds marvelous, Lilly. We have much to discuss anyway.” Jasper agreed and then extended his hand. “Shall we?”

“Lets.” She smiled and they exited. I looked back to his wounds and saw that they were bandaged.

“You’re okay! You’re going to be okay! You scared me so much, you evil wolf!” I cupped his face with my hands and gave him a long kiss.

“You’re squishing me, baby.” He wheezed. I looked down and my mouth fell into an ‘o’.

“I’m sorry!” I exclaimed.

“No, no, no. It’s fine.” He said. “Just lay with me.” I lay down beside him and rested my head against his shoulder. “You okay?”

“Been better.” I replied. “I’m just so happy that you’re okay. It’s just that I’ve got this feeling.”

“Oh?” Vladimir asked.

“Yeah. Like Raizer’s not done yet. Something’s going to happen soon and it’s going to be the whammy of all the bad things that are happening now and I definitely know that Raizer is going to be behind it. I just don’t know what it is.”

“Ceilia, you silly girl.” Vlad reassured. “It’s nothing. We’ve all been stressed and that’s coming down on us.”

“You think?” I asked him.

“That’s what I think.” He kissed my temple. “Even though I was on my deathbed, I’m here with you now. Doesn’t that count for something, Little Dahlia?”

“I’ll never understand why you call me that so much.” I peered at him questioningly. “Care to share?”

“Not today, lovely.” He roguishly grinned at me and then yawned. “Considering I was barely conscious for a while, I’m drained now. We should sleep now; you look a bit like death, love.”

“I don’t want to sleep. I want to stay awake with you. So I’ll know that you’re here.” I persisted to him.

“I’ll be here.” He assured. “I’ll be here as long as you want me to and maybe a tad bit longer.”

“I figure you can stay as long as you like.” I snuggled closer to him and closed my eyes. “Goodnight, my darling.” I whispered to him.

“Goodnight, Dahlia.” He whispered back and I then fell into a content slumber.

Adriana’s Point of View

(A/N: Don’t kill me. I had good reasoning for them to finally do it. I apologize if you don’t think that it was the right choice. But it’s my story, so be it.)

I woke up in Damien’s arms and I couldn’t feel happier. What we did, it was probably an irresponsible choice. I suppose that it was inevitable. I raised my head off his chest and looked up at his sleeping face. He truly had the face of angel, as corny as that maybe, but I couldn’t help smile at how serene he looked. The dark circles that were under his eyes looked a hell of a lot darker now. I bit my lip at the fact. Brushing my hand down his cheek, I placed a small kiss there.

A smirk pulled its way on his lips. “Are you trying to ruin the moment?” I ask him. He chuckles deviously and then rolls over the top of me. “Baugh! Bloody bollocks!”

“Somebody’s accent is returning.” He said playfully. “I think it’s sexy.”

“You’re being a sodding rat, mister.” I smiled and then pulled him down for a long kiss. What really ruined the moment was when throat started to get itchy. “I’m hungry. You made me hungry. I’m a bit hungry for more, but I feel a bit of bloodlust coming on.”

Damien kissed my nose. “Let’s go then.” He flung the covers off and strolled to his bureau. He pulled a simple black t-shirt out and some other clothes, throwing them in a pile for himself. “You don’t mind wearing some of my clothes for now, do you, Aid? We’ll get you some of Ceilia’s things after we eat.”

I stood up and embraced him from behind. “No problem at all.” I replied. “But there’s a bit of an issue.”

“What?” He asked me. I held up the remains of my completely demolished undergarments. be an issue.” He pulled put his clothes on and then turned back to me. “Aha!” He walked over and handed me a silky black robe.

“Very nice.” I smiled. I put on the article of clothing and looked back at him. I reached up and put my hand in his hair, mussing it up. “You definitely look like you got out of bed now.” I grinned at my work.

“Only to spend the rest of my day with the most beautiful woman in the world.” He scooped me into his arms and treaded out the door dramatically. I squealed. “Hush, little Aid. We’ll get our meal and then there’s somewhere that I want to show you.”

“Some sort of secret place?” I asked, mischievously. Man, I was a whore today.

“Something to the likes of that.” His eyes sparkled and we entered the kitchen. He set me down in a chair and began to warm two glasses of blood. I watched them heat with a bit of a morbid fascination. It really began to sink in how disgusting this habit actually was, I scrunched my face up. “I know.” Damien agreed quietly as he pushed himself up onto the counter. The microwave bleeped and he pulled out the glasses and handed me one. We drank quietly and then put our glasses away. He turned to me as I stood in front of the fridge for a second.

Hurriedly, he placed his lips on mine and I wrapped my legs around him. “I’m such a little slut.” I breathed out when he took his lips away from me for a brief second. We almost knocked everything off of the fridge and we moved to the counter.

“HEEEEY! No getting it on in the kitchen! PEOPLE EAT HERE!” I heard Sam’s sardonic voice ring.

“Come on.” Damien said, “Let’s get you some clothes and then we’ll go.” Sam glared at us as we exited the kitchen and began up the stairs.

“Where are you taking me?” I questioned.

“You’ll just have to hurry and find out.” He said. We walked into Ceilia’s room and I went on a clothes snatching spree. I grabbed a plain black halter dress that flowed loosely around my ankles. I grabbed some ballet flats and other necessities. “Shower?”

“You go first, you’re not getting anymore of me tonight, pal.” I put my hands on my hips.

“That’s only what you think, but just you wait.” Damien replied as he disappeared into his bedroom and then into the bathroom. I followed into the bedroom and leaped on the bed. Lying down on his pillow, I smiled and closed my eyes for a brief moment but instantly regretted it.

Images flashed before my eyes of the most brutal kind. I didn’t understand what it was or why it was happening, I just knew that it was making my head split in half from the pain. I cried out for a moment, and then I saw Damien in one of the images. His eyesight was completely diminished, but he looked upon someone with unimaginable love. It was raining, but then this figure came up behind him and it all ended in blood. More blood….too much blood.

I peeled my eyes up and was up like a bolt. I threw open the bathroom door and shoved the shower curtain aside. I heard Damien say, “What the HELL?” I latched onto him immediately.

“Let me see your eyes.” I demanded. He looked at me confused and his eyes were still onyx.

“What’s this about, Aid?” He asked.

“I just….” I stammered, “I just want to be sure of you.”

“I’m fine, Aid. I’m still here and I can see.” He gently said to me as he wrapped his arms around me. “Don’t be scared.” I don’t deny that I cried in his arms. “I won’t leave you again. I swear it.”

“Okay.” I said and began to step out of the shower but he stopped me. He gently pushed me against the shower wall and eased his lips onto mine.

“Your turn.” He whispered and then stepped out of the shower. I growled and slipped the robe of my shoulders, tossing it to the floor. I bathed quickly and then found a towel to wrap myself in. I stepped out of the shower quickly. I saw him standing in front of the mirror with a towel wrapped around his waist.

“Damien…?” I looked at him. His head was down, hiding his eyes from me.

“When I said that I could see, I think I jinxed myself.” He laughed. I held him from behind.

“What do you mean?” I inquired. Damien looked up into the mirror and I gasped. The same blue was back from before.

“I don’t think it’s going away this time.” He truthfully stated.

“We should stay here; I’ll go find your mother and Jasper if you want.” I suggested.

“No,” Damien declared. “This won’t hinder me. You can be my eyes for now.”

“Whaaaa?” I watched him quizzically. “Being eyes makes me nervous, Damien.”

“You’ll be fine.” He said. “Damn!”

“What?” I panicked.

“I won’t be able to see you dress now. That was always sexy.” I let out the breath I was holding and glared at him. “Okay, okay, don’t get mad. I’m going to go get dressed now. The bathroom is all yours. I can’t even see you glaring now, but I can imagine it in my head.”

I closed the door after him quietly and then began putting my clothes on. I glanced over the bathtub and couldn’t deny the urge of a small giggle. It looked like hell ran through. I pulled the dress over my head and then began brushing my knotted hair. Finally fed up with it, I tied it in a bun and then left the bathroom.

When I saw Damien, I must say that I was impressed. “For a blind guy, you most certainly dress yourself well.” He looked like he would any other day.

“Cute.” Damien said. “Let’s go.” He stuck his hand out and I took it. “I remember what happened the last time you lead me down the stairs when I was in this same situation as now.”

“Yeah.” I giggled. “I squished you on the floor after we tumbled down. We’ve definitely had a few times for the books.” He agreed. We stepped outside and I looked at the surroundings. “I never noticed how beautiful this place is.”

“It has its qualities. Come ‘ere.” I walked over to him and he embraced me. “Hold on tight.” The wings sprouted out of his back.

“Wait a minute, Damien! You can’t see.”

“I can get to this place even without my eyesight.” He insisted. I was about to protest but he lifted off and I closed my eyes instantly. I resisted the urge to squeal. I was never that good with heights.

“Bloody sodders!” I shrieked when I felt my feet finally touch the ground. I opened my eyes and saw that we were on the other side of the lake and in front of a dusty wooden path into the woods. “What’s down there?”

“I’ll show you.” He told me and enlaced our hands again. We began to trek down the woods quietly, leaves crackling and twigs snapped beneath our feet. Damien stopped for a moment and pointed down a path. “Down through there is where I buried Selene.” My eyes widened.

“Really? Can we go?” I questioned him.

“On the way back.” He assured and we continued to walk. I saw a streetlight at the end of the path. “We’re almost there.”

“How can you tell?”

“I can hear the children.” He replied as if it were that simple. We stepped out into the light and I saw that it was a mostly abandoned park. “This is where I played when I was a kid.”

“I thought you didn’t get to play much when you were a kid.” I stated.

“Mom used to sneak me out here through that path and she let me play as long as she could. She would tell me that she wanted me to have the chance to be a normal boy and not just a warrior.”

“I think you’re so much more than that.” I whispered. We walked through the park and stopped in one of the more deserted corners. I looked and saw the kids playing on the monkey bars and smiled a bit. I felt something poke me in the side and I turned.

The sword. That sword that killed Alastar. Sanguis Imber. “Why is that here?” I asked Damien as I put my hand on it.

“You never know when there could be a need for it.” He explained gently. “Adriana, when I tell you this, I need you to listen to me with as few interruptions as possible.” His eyes looked at me with determination and it was starting to scare me.

“Damien… what do you mean?”

“Just listen, Aid.” He insisted. “I’ve been trying to shield you from this information for long enough.”

“Damien, what haven’t you told me?” I asked. It began to drizzle slightly and it was soaking our clothes. He took my hands in his. “What’s going to happen?”

“I’m telling you this now, because I want to keep you safe. Adriana, there have been about a whole lot of attempts on your life these past few months, because you’ve been with me. We didn’t want to tell you about them because we didn’t want you to worry. I’ve protected you as long as I can for right now.”

“Why are you telling me this now? Damien, what’s going to happen to you? You’re scaring me.” I felt panic rising.

“I’m telling you this because I think that one of the biggest attempts on your life is going to happen today and I think my brother’s going to be the one behind it. If he comes, I want you to get out of here, no matter what you hear.”

“Damien!” I exclaimed.

“Just do it, Aid!” He growled.

“Okay!” I said.

“I’m not going to loose you, like I lost her. This time I’m going to do one thing right.” He assured. “If something does happen, I want you to run like hell. I want you to find my father or my mother or my siblings. Hell, I’ll even settle for Tabby. I just want you to be okay.” Tears ran down my cheeks. Damien walked behind me and embraced me from behind now.

“I love you.” I whispered.

“I love you too. So much that it may even be the death of me.” He smiled and held onto me tight. I broke out of his grip for a moment and turned to him. I grabbed his hair and pulled him in for one of the most sorrowful kisses that we’ve ever had.

“We’ll be okay. You can’t leave me.” I whispered as I placed my forehead against his for a brief moment. I heard laughter ringing out and it made me want to cry more. I shook my head furiously. “Go away, Raizer…Go away…”

Damien sighed. “No matter what happens, I’ll always love you. Remember that.” He pushed me away. “Go.” I saw something fuzzy coming out of the air and I remembered earlier.

“GET OUT THE WAY!” I shrieked and shoved him. The wolf tackled me and we skidded across the ground. Damien was stunned when I had shoved him but then I heard his enraged cry.

“How sweet.” I heard Raizer say. “Don’t hurt her now, Felix. He won’t be willing to fight if she’s dead. Just hold her for a little while. I’m sure she’ll like that.” The wolf reverted back to human and he held me in his arms, tightly.

“No!” I shrieked. “This isn’t fair! You cheat, you bloody saddening bastard! Stop it! Let me go! You leave him alone!”

“Shh….If you’re quiet, chicky, this will all be over sooner.” Felix chuckled.

“And if you used a fucking breath mint, then perhaps I wouldn’t be shouting so much, hmm?”

“Little whore, got some spunk. I see you’ve fucked the Blackmore recently. He your first?”

“Eww, you perv. Have you been stalking me lately? Cause if you’re interesting in sex, go buy yourself some porn and a prostitute, dumbass.” I snarled at him, my fangs protruding now.

“If you don’t shut up, then you’re going to become my prostitute.” He growled.

“Oh really? Let’s go over to the woods then so I can castrate you with a tree branch after I beat you to state of half death.”

“You’re awfully confident.” Felix snarled. “Jake, hold her with Tabby. They’re both getting on my nerves.” I looked over and saw Tabitha in chains sitting in front of our very own Jacob Maverick.

“You bloody-!” Felix put his hand over my mouth and I screamed at him. They set me down and put me in the chains easily no matter how much I struggled. Tabby just sat there like a dead corpse.

Jake laughed at me. “Watch the show, Aid. I can’t wait for your Blackmore to get his ass kicked.”

“Oh please, Jake. Do yourself a favor and grow some balls for once. You’re such a pansy. You’re hiding behind Raizer like the little puppy that you are. God, what has this world come to?” I could tell that Jake wanted to hit me, but he didn’t. “Tabby, you can get us out of here.” I whispered to her. Jake didn’t hear because he was immersed in the battle that was taking place. “Use your magic.”

“I can’t, Aid.” She whimpered. Tabby turned to me and I choked. She normally looked ethereal, but now she looked like she been through hell and back. The shadows under her eyes were dark and her hair was stringy. She was as skinny as hell in those chains and I felt awful for her. I saw what she was talking about then. There was something on her neck, a sort of choker. I could guess that it prevented magic.

“Damn it all to hell!” I broke down. “Tabby… Listen to me. We have to figure something out. Damien can’t win this fight right now. He’s blind, damn it!”

“There’s nothing we can do, Adriana!” Tabby exclaimed. “Look around us! We’re surrounded! I’ve squabbled with these guys before, Aid. It’s not an easy job. Damien may be blind, but I taught him to survive without his eyes…partially…when he was my student. He’ll have to fend for himself.”

(A/N: I listed to Evil Angel by Breaking Benjamin as I typed this and it kind of broke my heart. So try to imagine that song in your head if you’ve heard it through the whole last part of this chapter. Maybe You by Breaking Benjamin as well. They both would work splendidly if this was a movie. Lol)

The tears rolled down my cheeks and I looked back to the battle. Damien and Raizer were pretty close matched, even with Damien’s impairment. “Loss of sight, brother?” Raizer taunted. “How unfortunate.” They both used swords and Raizer attacked. Damien parried.

“I’ll live; I’d be worrying about myself, Raizer.” Damien appeared behind of Raizer and swung at his back, but Raizer ducked and tried to jab Damien in the stomach. Damien leaped back. Raizer appeared behind of Damien, and Damien returned the favor, stabbing Raizer in the side.

“I taught you that trick well.” Raizer coughed up a little blood. “But it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that.” Raizer ripped the Sanguis Imber out and threw it aside. “How about we do this without weapons, let’s see how far we get.” He threw the black/silver sword to the side as well.

“Fine.” Damien stated. Raizer leaped into the air, flipping over Damien’s head. Damien turned around just in time to be on the receiving end of a kick to the chest.

“No, you idiot!” I heard Tabby curse. “Never fall for that, get out of the way!” I gasped at every hit that Damien received and every hit that he landed.

After receiving a brutal beating, Damien turned the tides. He swiped low at Raizer’s feet with his legs and Raizer jumped into the air as expected. But Damien appeared behind of Raizer and grabbed both of his arms, pulling them in irregular positions. Raizer did indeed appear shocked, and Damien flipped Raizer over his head, sending him face first in the hard ground.

I could have clapped like a giddy school girl, but I couldn’t help wince at the pain that must be causing. Damien wasn’t done yet though, Raizer was about to jump up, but Damien grabbed his leg. “Not yet, brother.” He taunted to his sibling. The claws extended and pierced Raizer’s leg, but he didn’t cry out. Damien picked his brother up by his leg and then tossed him through the air like a toy.

Though it could have been considered a good victory when the tree cracked from Raizer hitting it, Raizer was back just as fast. He used his feet to push off the remains of the tree, gaining momentum and spiraling back toward Damien. Raizer tackled his brother and they were both sent flying. Raizer’s punches were swift and pretty fatal if it had been anyone other that Damien. They both skidded across the ground away from each other and stood up instantly. Immediately, they returned to beating the living shit out of each other.

If any bystander had seen it, it could have been described as two lighting strikes fighting for the right of one spot except they weren’t as electric and shiny as lightning was. The power radiated off of them and the children turned to the commotion. I looked at the kids and nodded for them to get out of here. They sprinted off like little bunnies. Nobody noticed them though.

Damien jumped and kicked Raizer in the nose with bloody combat boots. Raizer took the blow, but then returned the favor the throw from earlier. Damien crashed into the tree right beside of me and I tried crawling to him. Jake grabbed my chains and held me back. “You’re not going anywhere, missy.”

“I hope someone stabs pears through your eyes, because they’re that big.” It was a weak retort and it didn’t make much sense, but it made me feel good when he did check his eyes and glared at me.

“Looks like I win, brother.” Raizer looked at Damien who was crumpled on the ground. “Looks like I win...”

“Not on your life!” Damien growled and the Letum Messor was finally released. He leaped and tackled his brother to the ground, landing many punches on his face. I squeaked as the blood flew. Raizer had let his guard down for a moment and he was getting annihilated by Damien.

I watched with wide eyes. “I knew you could do it, baby.” I whispered under my breath. Tabby looked at me.

“It’s not over yet, honey.” She replied. “He’s not in the okay just yet.”

“He can do it.” I insisted. “He can beat Raizer. You’ve got to have faith in him, Tabby!” I exclaimed, hope sparkling in my eyes and heart.

“I wish that I just had as much hope in him as you do, because I fear what’s going to happen to him if Raizer wins.” Tabby morosely stared back at the beating session.

Raizer flipped Damien over his head and then as Damien crashed, he grabbed his sword. Damien groaned, his pupil less eyes fluttering for a second. “No…” I whispered. Raizer stormed over to his fallen brother sanctimoniously and stepped on one of his wings. Damien writhed at that. He pointed his sword at his brother’s neck.

“I should cut off your head now, you pathetic…” He made a move to stab Damien’s heart with the sword. Before I realized what I was doing, I sprinted toward the middle of the field and Jake about to chase me. I slid in the dirt in front of Damien, just as the sword came down and I felt it pierce my shoulder. “What’s this?”

“You sack of wine!” I hissed at him with the most fury I could muster. “Leave. Him. Alone.”

“You’re meddling in things that you don’t understand.” Raizer said. Raizer pulled the sword from my arm. I gnashed my teeth.

“Psht! Screw understanding! I will not let you hurt him.” I stared into Raizer’s golden eyes. “Take me instead. Isn’t that more of a shot to the heart? Don’t you want to make him suffer? Why hurt him directly when you can get him through me?”

“You’ve got a point.” Raizer said.

“Shut up, Adriana….” Damien growled.

“No! You shut up; I’m saving your life!” I barked at him. He sat up and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“You’re getting yourself killed.” He growled again.

“Better me than you, Einstein.” I persisted.

“Don’t you dare make me throw you across this battlefield back to Tabby.” Damien snarled.

“You wouldn’t dare.” I looked back to Raizer, “So what do you say….Raizer?” He dropped his sword for a second and looked at the both of us struggling against each other on the ground with genuine confusion in his eyes. Damien pulled me closer to him

“You’re not getting involved in this. I’m doing fine.” He sneered at me angrily. “I told you that I wasn’t going to let you get hurt.” He chucked me over the field and I shrieked.

“YOU JERK!” I landed on Tabby’s lap. Damien pulled himself from the ground and jumped away from Raizer. Raizer looked over to me and to Damien again with that same confusion. I think that it was starting to get him annoyed now.

“Interesting offer, Aid. But not good enough.” Raizer called to me. I cursed aloud. Damien and Raizer began to fight again and I was placed beside Tabby.

“Valiant.” She commented loosely. “I’m sorry I can’t heal your shoulder.”

“It’s fine.” I growled lowly.

The battle went on with either of the boys winning at points. The thing that scared me the most was when Damien let his guard down for a moment and glanced to me, as if he were hoping to get a look at my terrified face one last time. Raizer took this as an opening and began to pummel him. I cursed him for looking at me.

Damien couldn’t do it anymore, his sight was impairing him too much and he was tired. The Letum Messor didn’t save him. Raizer put the beat down on him on him with fury of attacks, using his sword to cheat. Just as Damien was barely standing, Raizer tapped his shoulder and he fell to his knees.

I heard someone screaming….

I didn’t realize that it was my own screaming.

I sobbed bitterly as Damien looked over to me and smiled that same smile he wore we when first met. “Untie them.” Raizer commanded as he knelt in front of me. I sobbed and wheezed.

“Take anything! Take whatever you want! Take me! Just leave him alone!” I begged as Raizer dragged me. I thrashed against him.

“Relax; I’m taking you to him.” Raizer snarled. He pulled me to my feet and I almost stumbled back down. “Would you die for him, Adriana?”

“Yes.” I replied back as truthfully as I could.

“Maybe you will someday, but not today.” Raizer replied as he threw me down in front of Damien. I scrambled to my knees and immediately latched onto the younger brother.

“Damien!” I sobbed as I held him to me.

“Adriana, shh, meus Regina.” He whispered sweet Latin nothings to me as I cried in his arms.

“Don’t leave me, please don’t leave me, don’t leave…” I whimpered. “We haven’t had enough time. We’re supposed to have eternity together, Damien… Please don’t leave me, I love you. I’m so sorry…There isn’t enough time…”

“There’s never even time, kitten. Is est damnatio meus, meus Regina.” He whispered, his voice getting softer.

“Don’t say that! It doesn’t have to be this way! Get up, Damien! Get up! You can fight this!” I pressed my lips to his for one last long kiss. He pulled away.

“Forgive me….my love. I’m just upset that I didn’t get to see your sweet face one last time. A-as cheesy as that sounds… but I guess that’s how love makes a person.” Those were his last words before he fell into unconsciousness.

“NO!” I wailed and tried to shake him. “Wake up! Wake up! He’ll take you away from me!” I held onto him as tight as I could. I turned to Raizer, my eyes puffy. He was coming closer. I tried to drag Damien and crawl away, but it wasn’t working. “No! You go away! You leave him alone! No!”

“He’s mine now, Adriana…” Raizer said. He grabbed his brother’s limp body and began to pull him away.

“No, he’s not! There wasn’t enough time!” I wailed like a maniac. Raizer jerked Damien away from me. “You heartless bastard, give him BACK! GIVE ME BACK MY DAMIEN! Tabby! Tabby, do something! TABBY!!” I cried and looked at her in vain. She sat there. “Please! Do ANYTHING!” Panicked was constricting my throat but I still wailed.

“It’s over, Adriana. You both lost.” Raizer informed. “Felix. Get Tabby. We’ve got him. Let’s get out of here.” I tried to pull myself to my feet, but Raizer kicked me down in the mud as the rain began to pour more. “It. Is. Over.”

“Never. I swear to God that I’ll find you. I’ll rip that black heart of yours out and eat it, Raizer. I will kill you in any fucking away that I find fit.” Raizer laughed. “You can laugh at me now, here in the rain, sobbing… but I will get him back. Don’t ever doubt that…. If I have to kill every mythological creature and evil being to do it.” This reminded me too much of the Vladimir and Ceilia situation at my house. This time I would stick to my word. I felt like I was going crazy.

“Go find my father, Aid!” Tabby shouted but Raizer silenced her.

“I will find you, Damien. I’ll find you… Just hold on.” I cried as I was shoved to the ground again. Last thing I saw was Damien’s dead eyes fluttering open.

“I’ll be waiting, my love.” He replied and his eyes closed just as quickly. So I wondered if I had imagined it. I looked up and saw Jake Maverick overhead of me looking down sadistically.

“Just knock her unconscious, Jake.” Raizer commanded. Jake frowned. I looked up at him defiantly.

“Why aren’t you scared?” Jake asked me.

“Because the only reason I live anymore is being towed away from me like a sack of potatoes.” I watched him.

“Just shut up, Aid.” I saw his fist come down and I swear I think I saw stars. My face hit the mud with a shiny new bruise and I watched them carry him away.

“I’ll find you.” I whispered as my eyes began to close. “I promise.”

Hold it together.
Birds of a feather.
Nothing but lies and crooked wings.
I have the answer.
Spreading the cancer.
You are the faith inside me.
No, Don't, leave me to die here.
Help me survive here, alone.
Don't Remember!
Remember!

Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel. (Ahhh)

I'm a believer.
Nothing could be worse.
All these imaginary friends.
Hiding betrayal.
Driving the nail.
Hoping to find a savior.
No, don't, leave me to die here.
Help me survive here, alone.
Don't Surrender!
Surrender!

Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel. (oohh)
Fly over me, Evil Angel.
Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?

Put me to sleep, Evil Angel.
Open your wings, Evil Angel. (oohh)
Fly over me, Evil Angel.
Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?

TO BE CONTINUED….
