Dark Creatures

What dark creatures prowl this abyss!

Crawling in its darkened depths

To see the light from above, they would perish

To be accepted by the humans, they would faint

Never trusting, never caring

Never laughing so hard they could cry

They know nothing but rejection

They know nothing but to hate

Cold stares and putrid glares are what they’re made of

They seem mute and defeated, awkward and annoying

But, helpless, are they?

NO.

Never let down your guard

They will strike, they can fight back

The power may one day be theirs!
