Dishwashing Liquid

Sudsy foam spewing out of the

Thin, white, nozzle

Spurting diligently

To work for whoever the Man is.

-

The Emerald pooling liquid

Glinting by its reflection

On the metal sink, peppered by

Water marks and grease.

-

Exactly how it transforms

Enchanted powers working

Into a highway to a kingdom

Of Mushrooms, well –

-

I don’t know.

-

But…

That Fairy lords drink in ruby-encrusted goblets

The translucent, thick, gooey

Sticky potion

Of alchemic properties

Because it helps them fly

-

And sometimes the Ancient Ones

Would rub it across their wrinkled, burnt faces

Because it the fountain of youth exists

-

Bubble, bubble in the crusty cauldron

Over the spitting fire

The flying embers flicker

Across the highlighted face of the

Wise Medicine Man

Who blows ashes absurdly

Because -

-

It makes magic work.

-

(But since we’re not fairies

We’ll just have to use the gentle, grime fighting liquid

To wash dishes).

-

As it should.

(A/N: adding hyphens is the only way I can remain the original integrity of its format : ) anyway ordinary is just so so... subjective
