Do you see her with her perfect hair?
Perfect shoes, perfect dress,
Perfect perfection everywhere.

But did you know- in her mind,
she's a doll on a pedestal,
and she's screaming
'cause she's scared of what she'll find
if she looks at herself inside,
and if she looks behind
her shields of perfection.

Even now, she's screaming.
Can you hear her silent words?
No one ever has or ever will.
She was born to be unheard.

And you, you say you understand.
You say you've screamed and cried with her.
But were you there when she needed a hand
to help her off her sinful throne?
Stop saying you didn't have a clue-
you, of all people, should have known.

Do you see her? She's the picture of perfection.
And now, she's their object of affection.
And inside, she's still screaming into silence.
