My Guardian Angel

I hear a strain

Of music sweet

The melody

Speaks of you

The only love

That ever mattered

Was that I

Know is true

Though far away

And many miles

Might us

Be apart

My love,

My angle

We can do it

And that itself is a start

Oh how was I blessed

When you appeared

As if out of nowhere

To bring me back to life?

Before you I knew

Naught but a world

Full of darkness

And endless strife

What dreams

Fulfilled

And longings

Stated

When perfection is found

And truth realized

All fears are

Instantly abated

You are my sunlight

You are my joy

How could perfection

Come knocking at my door

Or ringing my doorbell

As case may be

Everyone knows

It is you I adore
