Remedy for a Broken
Heart
by Rochelle Breen
First, distant oneself from the harmful object (heart breaker)- in time and space.
Second, confide in someone (best friend, family, animal, nature) who can help you understand the situation and recover from it.
Third, remove all residue (photos, clothes, reminders), or as much as one can at first, of the harmful object. What remains will only serve to infect.
Fourth, ingest (dark) chocolate, that which simulates a lover's warmth and kiss, and may help to slowly, kindly wean the patient off of the harmful object.
Fifth, take (healthy) anesthetics as needed. The best form of this is exercise (running, yoga, fencing, etc.), though household duties, music, and personal hobbies or passions can also be beneficial.
Sixth, resist (if necessary) the
urge to engage oneself with another object (rebound), as this has a
tendency to cause further:
-frustration
-pain.
When the wound is further on the mend,
relationships with other objects will be more stable and fruitful.
Seventh, use the Understanding
that:
- a broken heart is a wound
- this remedy will help bind and treat
the wound
- but that scars may develop and remain
to remind.
