I am who I am,
For a forever and more.
Raging and seething,
For I am the home of my emotion.
Empty and hollow
(A shell never to return)
Cold and gone
Although darkness and light will wait.
Swearing, cursing, vowing,
For I am, above all,
Forgiving yet ruthless
(Surviving far longer than my enemies, for I live)
Kind and loyal
(It's by your side I'll stay)
Selfish and so centered
(Though I'm just a dot in this world)
Honest and respectful
(Sir, so I'll have you know...)
Flowing, swirling, spinning;
A madness in the head.
I am who I am,
For a forever and more.
Hiding and running
(Instinct on impact)
Alone and strong
(Self-divided from friends)
Little and weak
(Child versus reality)
A contradiction of all contradictions
(Defiant yet meek)
Impossibilty of all impossibilities
(Understanding and naive)
Tortured and lost
(Just want a hand to hold...)
Terrified of love
(Protect...must always protect them...)
Vulnerable yet guarded
(I love you, so don't love me)
Always standing,
Always believing,
Always defending these.
Always here,
Always alive,
To learn more a day
And eat and drink
And feel and talk
And sleep and dream
And write and speak
So to survive and then die.
Do I truly live?
