Squirming
Panting
your hand slides to part my unbuttoned shirt
whispering how willing
how responsive I am
and how much I want this
Hot breath like daggers of ice
rolls over my face
as the images behind my fluttered down eyelids prove love's as bad as hate
and my skin shows that unwanted heat is as bad as any sunburn
though these escapes are the best I can hope for
I can hear the Kandi
bracelets around my wrists rub together
as I turn my head
and you finish what you started
I open my eyes to your stark white ceiling
with salt water brimming to the edges of my eyes
but we both know I won't cry...yet
not until I'm under the bushes outside
with the fire ants and the spiders
still feeling you around me
