Kiss

星宿

Whispers of a memory

beckon me to see,

past my current longing

and the bitter taste of reality.

---

Closing my eyes and letting go,

I feel a flicker of sensation,

remember the touch of wind

as the salty sea caressed my skin.

---

A call upon my soul

of love that never dies,

heaviness lay in my heart

it was almost time to say goodbye.

---

Resting in the moment

I lifted my eyes up to the heavenlies,

and gazed one last time

to the nameless stars in this foreign place.

---

A promise of love everlasting

rippled in my ears,

a single pure flash of light,

You sealed it with a kiss.

---

Time has come and gone

only an echo of the words remain,

and life threatens to pull me down

now that I'm off the mountain.

---

My heart overflows with questions,

high tide of thoughts now bash into my soul,

I can not see through this valley,

or how my beloved will rescue me.

---

Yet I will not leave this path

for you called me down this way,

I'll walk this long journey

until your arms encircle me.
