Nightly Thoughts

As I see the sun set, I feel my heavy lids.

As I close my eyes, I wonder.

I wonder about the day,

Did I get closer to you?

Did I grow distant to me?

Did I right or wrong?

As your image appears in my mind,

My eyes fill with tears.

Sorrow? Sadness? But why?

Will I get closer?

Will I grow distant to me?

I wander through my mind only to find you.

Memories that were lost, flash back,

showing you, your confidence, your fearsome courage.

As a single tear drops, I catch it.

With my last thought, sleep catches me.

I will sacrifice everything just to fight you...
